Large format print specialist MX Display has helped the next generation of graphic designers to showcase their creative talents to some of the UK advertising industry’s biggest players.

The Derby-based firm worked in partnership with the University of Lincoln to develop and create exhibition materials for a recent showcase event which was attended by representatives of the UK’s top 20 ad agencies.

It was held at the prestigious Grey Advertising, in Clerkenwell, London, which was founded in 1917 and now has 432 offices across the globe, in 154 cities. Grey’s clients include Lucozade, Volvo and HSBC.

The event gave the students the opportunity to meet with and show their work to creatives from the likes of Fallon, BMB, Lucky Generals, VCCP, Analogue Folk, Creative Jungle, Adam & Eve, Publicis, MullenLowe, Wieden & Kennedy and AMVBBDO.

The University held a similar event, in Shoreditch, last year, which MX Display also supported.

MX Display’s Sales Director, David Lister, said: “We’re passionate about supporting the next generation of talent and helping to give young people with aspirations of working in the creative industries a head start, so we were delighted to again be working with the University of Lincoln to support its annual student showcase event.”

“This event was again all about getting students in front of some of the most influential names in the industry, to help them make connections, build relationships and gain valuable experience in dealing with people within the industry. It provided a great learning curve and it was great to be able to help out by creating the space for them to showcase their talents.”

David Pettitt, Programme Leader of the university’s BA (Hons) in Creative Advertising, said: “The support of MX Display meant we could deliver a fantastic and highly-professional event in the heart of ad land, among the industry’s big players, giving our students an amazing opportunity and start in their careers.”
