PVC FREE BANNERS
Our new Kavalan Eco Banner is set to become an industry game-changer that is anticipated to disrupt the traditional PVC banner market. Kavalan replicates the look, feel and strength of PVC and welds like PVC too. However unlike traditional PVC it is specifically designed for responsible end-of-life-disposal. In 2018, approximately 340 million square meters of PVC banner were printed in Europe. Alarmingly, because banner PVC can’t be easily recycled, most of this ended up in landfills or was incinerated.
ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY
This incredible outdoor media product is PVC-Free and phthalate-free and features a biodegradable coating. Also, it weighs up to 50% less than traditional PVC banner, which significantly reduces carbon emissions during transportation. Kavalan can be disposed of without any harmful effects to health or the environment. Any emissions are hundreds of times lower than that of traditional PVC banner and well below the minimum EU safety level guidelines. Kavalan adheres to strict ecological standards and is REACH, RoHS, and 33P compliant. So, if in a worst-case scenario it does end up in landfill, it has a water-based, light biodegradable coating that decomposes.
BETTER THAN PVC
This PVC-Free alternative for banners and outdioor media is up to 50% lighter than regular PVC. In tests carried out by leading global welding manufacturers FIAB and Miller Weldmaster, the results of tear strength and weldability tests were equal to, if not better than traditional PVC banner.
MULTIPLE FINISHES AND PURPOSES
Kavlan Eco banner is available in a range of finishess and qualities including the standard PVC-Free material.
– A mesh option with the strength, performance, look, and feel of PVC mesh banner, with only half the weight.
– A backlit version for lightboxes with anti-wicking and non-crease features and specialised coating,
– A double-sided block-out textile material that remains smooth and level, perfect for indoor and short-term outdoor two-way signage and hanging banners.

Bleed - FabriFramesTM need 25mm bleed with trim marks offset by 25mm. FabriGrabsTM need 50mm bleed and don’t add any trim marks. Please consider a safe area of 50mm for all fabrics. -
Colour - Please supply your artwork in CMYK and make sure that any critical colours are set up as Pantone spot colours. Provide a CMYK equivalent for any other special colours. -
Fabric -
File Type - We prefer print-ready PDFs but we also accept artwork files supplied as Adobe Photoshop PSD, Illustrator AI/EPS and Indesign INDD if they’re supplied with fonts and links. -
Fonts - Please ‘path’ your fonts. A PDF compression won’t embed them, so we kindly ask that you create outlines (path) your fonts or send the font files with the artwork. -
Links - If you are supplying artwork in a format other than a PDF, please include all linked images and font files. -
Pixels Per Inch - DPI determines the resolution (detail) of the artwork. Images with a low DPI can look blurry or pixelated when they’re printed. We prefer to work with a minimum of 300dpi. -
Scale -
Trim - There’s no need to add trim marks because our software can detect the art-board without them. If your artwork has a cutter, label the cutter using a spot colour called ‘CutContour’. -
Upload - You’ll find our upload details online at mxdisplay.co.uk. Please name each piece of artwork with the order number and the line item letter from your quote. -

Eco One Wall | Autex Cascade | Autex FrontierCUSTOM WALL GRAPHICS
This was a fantastic project that included a wide variety of custom wall graphics and acoustic solutions, which delivered a superb finish for our friends at Ashlar Projects. We worked closely with the interior design team at Ashlar to turn their big ideas into production-ready artwork, all of which is printed and cut in-house and installed by our professional installation team.
The new 20,000 sq.m warehouse and office space at Snelshall, Milton Keynes features several energy-saving innovations that far exceed current regulations for a building of this type. High levels of natural daylight reduce the need for artificial lighting while the LED lighting systems are zoned and controlled via absence sensors. Solar panels and a heat transfer system provide warm water to amenity areas while harvested rainwater is used in toilets and external watering points. As part of this environmentally-friendly initiative we recommended our Eco One Wall for their custom wall graphics which is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The specialist woven polyester is scrub resistant, dirt repellent and PVC free, making it a perfect solution for walls in this planet-conscious build.
ACOUSTIC SOLUTIONS
We offer a huge array of acoustic solutions for all types of spaces and this project really embraced our Autex Acoustic products. Custom-cut acoustic partitions from the Autex Cascade range, divided the presentation area from the rest of the room in a sophisticated and elegant way. Autex Frontier hanging baffles kept the sound bounce within the seating zone and lowered the ceiling to provide a quiet, intimate space for the audience to focus. The versatile acoustic range we offer also created a tunnel effect for the hot desks, separating the working side of the office from the socialising facilities. Acoustic solutions are a great way to transform space and sound in a large room and Ashlar did this exceptionally well to create several spaces within one large room.
INSTALLATION
This large project was installed by 4 of our fitting team over 5 days. Working alongside fellow contractor, our team had to be flexible and time-efficent to ensure that they building was signed off and handed-over on time.
